I try to buy all natural whenever possible for our family. Wholesome, organic foods, green household products – even personal and beauty products from companies like Sobia Hussain’s The Olive Tree Soap Company. Sobia’s company has been operating for a little over a year and specializes in all-natural, artisian bath and body products. Her hand-made products are all free from harsh chemicals, dyes and preservatives. They are also eco-friendly, animal-friendly, 100-percent halal and vegan.
When asked about the inspiration behind The Olive Tree Soap Company, Sobia explained, “I have been interested in all things natural since I was a teenager. Natural environment. Natural foods. Natural products. As I learned more about the effects of the harsh chemicals found in our everyday bath and body products (parabens, phthalates, SLS, etc), I was on a mission to find something purer. In my search, I
stumbled upon soapmaking. The idea of making your own soaps and skincare items really interested me. I started to research the topic and attend workshops.
“I also loved the fact that soapmaking incorporated my two passions: science and art. So, I began to formulate recipes and experiment at home with family (btw, these products are only tested on loving family members, no animals!). With positive feedback coming in all directions, I wanted to reach out to others. I knew too many people who were suffering from skin ailments and didn’t know what to use. After much thought, I took the plunge and started a business to provide the community with natural artisan bath and body products which were made with much love and care. Alhamdulillah, it’s been a great experience and I love what I do!”
What type of products can you find at The Olive Tree Soap Company? Sobia lists several au naturale concoctions off the top of her head: “I make natural artisan bath and body products such as luxury soaps, lip balms, natural deodorants, lotion sticks, body butters, soy candles and more!

I try very hard to purchase all-natural products when possible. Unfortunately the big manufacturers make doing so much harder. I prefer supporting small businesses since they can control what goes into their products; and I LOVE homemade products! <3
